Johan is CEO of Timble and co-founder of Joomla an award-winning open source content management system (CMS). Johan has developed web solutions and tools for some of the largest international organizations operating around the world.
At Joomla Johan was Project manager and Lead Developer during the developement of Joomla 1.5 and he held a position on the board of directors of Open Source Matters, Inc. He is still considered to be the largest contributor to the joomla codebase. In October 2008 Johan was recognized as “Most valuable person for Joomla”
Today, Johan spends most of his time working on Nooku, an innovative open source platform for Joomla that provides integrators with ready-made high quality extensions and developers with a simple yet powerful API..
As native Belgian. Johan earned his master’s degree in Computer Science and Interactive Media from GroepT University in Leuven, Belgium, he also has a bachelor’s degrees in Electronics and ICT.
