Nooku is going GPLv3
Last July the question was raised in the Nooku Community about moving to the GPLV3 license. Today I am very pleased to announce (official announcement) that we are adopting the GPLv3, LGPLv3 and AGPLv3 licences for all future releases of Nooku. Versions previous to 0.7 remain under the GPLv2.
The move to GPLv3 is designed to suit the needs of Free Software in a developer market that is clearly demanding more flexibility and protection of each individuals’ rights.
Johan Janssens is co-founder of Joomla, an open source content management system. Johan also held the role of Lead Developer and Project Manager during the development of Joomla 1.5.
Today, Johan spends most of his time working on Nooku, an innovative open source web platform and application development framework.
Johan is also co-founder and CEO of Timble, a privately held software company that offers products and services for Nooku and Joomla.
